Santamaria and Paul D. Wieber were each charged with assault with a deadly weapon, assault under color of authority and battery.”

Obama will not apologize for use of nuclear weapons on civilians when he visits Hiroshima says spokesman. “If critics interpret as an apology Obama’s visit to Hiroshima or to the site honoring victims of the bombs, said (Josh) Earnest, “they’d be interpreting it wrongly.””

Murder charges for brothers who recorded their brother’s attack on a police station. “Jacai Colson, 28, (a black) undercover narcotics detective who was off-duty in street clothes when he responded to the shooting, was killed by a colleague who police said mistook him as a threat.”

Lawsuit alleges Cliven Bundy being denied speedy trial and representation by his chosen attorney. “The federal lawsuit seeks to remove Chief U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro from the case, an order allowing Washington, D.C., lawyer Larry Klayman to join Bundy’s defense team and more than $50 million in damages.” Bundy, 70, was arrested in Portland, Oregon on February 10th over a grazing rights stand-off in Nevada in 2014.

American Counseling Association cancels planned conference in Nashville over Tennessee state law that allows counselors to reject patients if treating them would violate their religious values. “(ACA CEO Richard) Yep said the law is “in clear violation” of the ACA’s code of ethics, adding: “No other state has a law like Tennessee’s.””

Budweiser beer to be renamed “America”. “From May 23 until the Nov. 6 general election, labels on the product will (also) read “E Pluribus Unum” instead of “King of Beers” and “Land of the Free,” instead of “The World Renowned.””

Uber sets up “guild” for New York drivers. “The agreement is Uber’s latest attempt to assuage mounting concerns from regulators and drivers’ groups about the company’s labor model, which treats drivers as independent contractors.”

Independent contracting is reportedly wiping out America’s truck drivers. “Today, according to the Department of Labor, the average trucker makes about $40,000. In 1980, according to one industry analyst, the average trucker was, after adjusting for inflation, making the equivalent of more than $110,000 today.”

Bernie Sanders would crush Donald Trump according to polls. “An average of the three most recent major polls predicts a victory of more than 14 points, which would be a landslide in modern presidential politics.”

Sanders projected to win West Virginia Democratic Party primary. “With over 30% of the vote reporting in the West Virginia Democratic contest, Sanders had won 50% of the vote to Clinton’s 39.1%.”

Hedge funds good at making money, not as successful at picking candidates. “(Renaissance Technologies) has donated $13m to Cruz’s failed campaign. With Cruz out of the race, Renaissance has switched donations to Hillary Clinton, with more than $2m donated so far.”

Carlisle, Pennsylvania police officer accused of kicking handcuffed skateboarder in the face after he called him a storm trooper. “According to the DA’s office, (Ryan) Luckenbaugh lied on his police report, stating Siennick hit the patrol car with his skateboard, which never happened.”

“Officer safety bulletin” was reportedly issued on one of the Adam’s County deputies involved in Jack Yantis shooting. “During a conversation with [Adams County Sheriff’s Office], (Brian) Wood advised, ‘If cops get involved, shots will be fired.’”
